The B+W Neutral Density+6 F-PRO Digital Filter reduces the light by six f-stops. With this filter and without changing the f-stop, a shutter speed of 1/60 s is changed to a full second, thus requiring the use of a tripod. Moving water is rendered as blurred and flowing in the photo, and people moving in streets are dissolved in unsharpness or become invisible. Because of its higher transmission in the red beyond 660 nm, this filter brings a slightly warm tone to colour photographs. If this effect is undesirable, a B+W UV-/IR-Blocking Filter 486 in front of the neutral density filter (not behind it) remedies that situation. The filter factor is 64x.
This ND64 filter reduces light by 6 stops (allowing 1/64th of the light to pass though) while maintaining a true colour balance. The thin frame is designed to reduce vignetting.
The B+W Clear Glass XS-PRO Digital Filter fulfils the desire of many photographers for pure lens protection without a filter effect. Its only function is to keep dirt, sand, or splashes away from the front lens. The extremely clear special glass with high transmission is MRC-finished.
The B+W F-Pro 82mm MRC 1.8/64x (106) Neutral Density Filter features a 1.8 density and provides a 6-stop exposure reduction (filter factor 64x). With the use of this Neutral Density (ND) filter, users can reduce the light reaching the sensor and therefore allow for longer shutter speeds or more widely opened apertures. ND filters can produce smooth, blurred effects in movements, such as water, traffic (light trails), or people as they move through the shot.
This 52mm protection filter with MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) by B+W can be used to protect the front element of your lens from dirt and scratches. The MRC is not only an extraordinarily effective multiple layer anti-reflection coating, it is also harder than glass, so that it protects filters from scratches (for instance when cleaning the filters), and it is also water and dirt repellent.
