Lee Cyan 15 Resin Colour Correction Filter.
These filters control the spectrum by reducing the transmission at specific wavelengths. They are primarily used to colour balance films, the required filter being determined as a result of tests, or as specified by the manufacturer. They can also be useful for correcting light sources for which no one conversion filter exists, or for adding a deliberate colour bias.
Lee Yellow 025 Resin Colour Correction Filter.
Low contrast filters more evenly spread light so that brightly lit areas share their light with the darker areas. The result is a lowering of the contrast and a slight halation or flare effect around light sources. Highlighted areas are still well lit but the dark areas now show more detail. Although designed for Hollywood, video photographers use them for more of a 'movie' look. This is the strongest effect filter.
Sepia coloured filters are designed to give colour photos a warm brown 'turn of the century' nostalgic look. Sepia 3 is the medium strength sepia filter. The graduation from colour to clear combined with the movement of the Lee filter systems allow the positioning of the colour effect on any portion of the photograph.
